Moral development and faith development have been reported to occur in stages. Perhaps we should also consider the development of how people perceive relationships, especially romantic relationships, in order to consider a more fulfilling philosophy of relationships. Perhaps there is a greater understanding of human relationships available that we simply haven’t embraced yet.

Like imaginary numbers, the reality of God becomes much more complete when we are able to envision God in relation to us rather than merely ineffable in its own right.

Shifting our hope of the good we expect from our relationships, however trivial or mundane, from mediocre good to supernal good will change the center of our ethics from merely preserving our own autonomy to actually creating the deep-seated good we seek.

Though translations may not be a verbatim transposition of a text from one language to another, a good translation that remains truthful to the spirit of the text is still a legitimate foundation for wisdom traditions.

Good design should inspire passion and loyalty. Women’s bodies are the epitome of good design, and even seen sweating or breastfeeding, should still evoke desire in a man capable of appreciating the body for what it is.
