My problem with government is complex: of course I want there to be a representative body that protects my rights and oversees the way different people with different worldviews and pritorities interact. But I have a very difficult time making sweeping statements about what we “must do in all cases”, because I don’t look with such broad eyes.

You bring darkness, it becomes night.
You bring sunlight, and it becomes day.
And the Wheel turns
And the seasons change
And your dance touches our hearts
And fills us with purpose
And our light is poured out like love upon the Earth.

The way we feel about people doesn’t have any meaning unless we can compare those feelings with something else: how they feel about other people, how they treat us in response to those emotions, etc.

The music is an interlude, something to be done between breaths, and all of her body becomes an instrument, a slave to the music, to make something moving and brilliant in between breathing.
